About Tassel

Tassel is designed to be a searchable component repository for the Tapestry web application framework. It is built on top of Tapestry and Cayenne and backed by the Mysql database. It utilizes Lucene for the search capabilities.

The hope for Tassel is for it to become the definitive component repository for Tapestry. If you can't find a component in the tapestry distribution, this will be the place to look, and if you can't find it here, it doesn't exist or hasn't been released yet; write the component and put it in the repository. That's the hope; currently Tassel is in an alpha state. Any suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Tassel is so named for two reasons. First, a tapestry wouldn't be complete without tassels; Tapestry isn't complete without components, and this is the place to find them. Second, Tassel can stand for: TApestry Searchable SELection of components.
